Children are assessed at regular intervals through Periodic Tests (Formative assessment) which provide continuous feedback on the childrens learning. These includes pen and paper tests, individual and group activities and interdisciplinary projects.
Term tests (Summative assessments) are carried out at the end of each semester to measure how much a student has learned from the course.
Question papers ensure that students are directed to understand and analyse the content of the subject matter and are encouraged to move beyond the text book and the classroom.
A composite report card with grades is given out at the end of each semester.
For classes IX – X, there is a slight shift in favour of academics. A composite Report card is issued by the CBSE at the end of class X.
